Aaspass is a home food delivery marketplace that connects buyers with home chefs and local food sellers across India. When you use Aaspass, you trust us with your personal information. We take that seriously.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only what's necessary to provide our service:

• Phone NumberUsed for authentication via one-time password (OTP). We do not store your OTP.
• Display NameThe name you provide when setting up your buyer or seller profile.
• Delivery AddressAddresses you add for order delivery, including pin code and approximate location.
• Order HistoryDetails of orders you place or receive, including items, amounts, and status.
• Device InformationBrowser type and device identifiers, used only for push notifications if you opt in.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To verify your identity and allow you to sign in securely.
• To connect buyers with nearby home chefs based on your delivery address.
• To process and track your food orders.
• To send order status updates and notifications (if you have enabled them).
• To allow sellers to contact you via WhatsApp for order-related communication.
• To improve the reliability and quality of our platform.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share limited information only as required to deliver our service:

• Sellers receive your first name and delivery address when you place an order with them.
• Supabase (our database provider) stores your data in India (Mumbai region) under strict security controls.
• Twilio delivers OTP SMS messages to your phone number and does not retain message content.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Order records are retained for 12 months. If you wish to delete your account and associated data, contact us at the address below.

6. Your Rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India), you have the right to:

• Access personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
• Request erasure of your personal data.
• Withdraw consent for data processing at any time.

7. Security

Your data is stored in a secured database with row-level access controls. Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth with phone OTP — we never store passwords. All data is transmitted over HTTPS.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app. Continued use of Aaspass after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
